Dr. Scott Wittmer

With the great results I experienced from chiropractic and my love of sports, I made a career decision to become a Chiropractic Physician!

In 1975 I suffered a severe neck injury playing high school football. I had significant neck pain that radiated to my right arm. This was before the days of MRI, so my orthopedic surgeon felt it better that I not play the rest of the season. At the suggestion of my coach, I visited a local chiropractor with sports injury experience and was able to play again within 2 weeks. I made some equipment changes and continued with my treatment the remainder of the season.

Chiropractic Education

I attended eastern Illinois University for my Pre-Chiropractic education and then went on to Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis for my doctorate, graduating in 1979. Since graduation, I have had extensive post doctorate training in Orthopedics, Neurology, Physical Rehabilitation, and Diagnostic Imaging.

My practice philosophy is basic. Determine the cause of the patients complaint, correct it as much as possible, teach them how to prevent it and maintain a higher level of health and function!
